WhatsApp: To make chat features easier for its users, WhatsApp has introduced a new feature in its app, named Chat Filter. This giant company owned by Meta has announced the chat filter feature in one of its latest blog posts.
What is WhatsApp chat filter?
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said that the launch of chat filter will help WhatsApp users to find any message faster i.e. in a very short time. The latest feature will reduce the time taken to open a particular chat within the social media app.
The idea and process of creating this filter feature started when users started doing their personal and professional work on WhatsApp. Filter feature will help users reach the chatbox they want to talk to without having to scroll through their entire inbox
WhatsApp has introduced three default filters that can be used to reach the right chatbox. Let us tell you how to set these chat filters.
Follow these steps
step 1: For this, first of all update your WhatsApp to the latest version.
Step 2: After that open WhatsApp in your iOS or Android phone.
Step 3: Three filters will appear at the very top of the chats visible in your profile, click on them. There will be three options of All (all), Unread (which have not been read) and Groups (groups).
- ALL: In this category, users will see all personal and group chats together.
- Unread: In this filter, users will see only those messages which they have not opened yet. On opening these messages, users will also see Unread written.
- Groups: In this filter, users will see all the groups of which they are a part.
Regarding this feature, WhatsApp said that the chat filter will start rolling out to users around the world from today. To use this feature, users will have to update their WhatsApp by visiting Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
